       PR736 G8

       Bulldozer

                                                                                  Above:
There is plenty of detail found on the model,
Right: like the photo-etch screen wipers, grab rails
The Generation 8 Liebherr and lighting inset into the roofline of the cabin.
        PR736 doesn’t look much
        different to its predecessor,
        sporting a PAT style blade
        configuration and 3-shank
                   ripper.

                                                                                  Above:
The blade can be raised and lowered, while
also having angular movement with the linkage
                                                                                  cleverly implemented.

The first of the new Generation 8 tracked dozers to be produced in
model form is the PR736 which has been produced by NZG. The
model carries a new item number and so I assumed at first that the
model would have some casting changes over the previous release.
After scrutinising the model, I have been unable to see any casting
differences to the shape of the bodywork or cabin, so it looks like the
only updates are to the decoration, with the new grey splashes
                                                                                  Above:
carrying the machine designation on the sides and rear. The rear ripper can be adjusted in height and
has yellow highlighted ripper teeth which is
                                                                                  another subtle difference.
O ne thing I did spot
                 is that the range of
                 angular movement on
                 the blade is actually
reduced on the new version when
        compared to the older version,
so maybe the tooling has changed
        subtly. Liebherr models have seen
updates to the printing over the last
12-18 months with a new number font Left:
which no longer has the outline. New The new white
tooling or not, it is good to see the number font stands
                                                                                                   out over the
model follow the updates of the latest grey graphics.
machine development and I have to
say the solid number font looks good.
