It has taken a number of years
for the first Hydrema model
to be commissioned, and the
result is an impressive release.

The Hydrema 912FS is a compact 10-ton capacity articulated frame dumper
with a fully enclosed cabin, powered by a Cummins QSB 4.5L Stage 4 engine
delivering an impressive 147hp. The fully automatic ZF WG116 6-speed
transmission provides 6 forward and 3 reverse gears with smooth gear
changing for a top travel speed of 40km/h. it is no surprise that Hydrema
chose the popular 912FS as their first “collector grade” 1:50th scale replica
which has been produced by Dutch model manufacturer IMC Models.

T he articulation point between

front and rear frames has been
engineered very well, with
no looseness at all, capable of
a fairly accurate range of steering
movement. Both axles have surface
casting detail of the fixings with the Right:
suspension system of the front axle The body is fitted to
