fitted to the front of the tank, controllable from
within the cabin. For fire suppression duties,
there is a hose drum fitted to the side of the
tank with a fire-hose barrel and there is a
foam generator set onboard with a 7,000-
litre capacity foam tank. Interestingly, the
truck is powered by a 1200hp Cummins
engine instead of the 1600hp fitted to the
74131 & 75131 trucks.
The 1:50th scale model again shares
some of the tooling from the haul truck,
mainly the chassis and cabin with the dump
body replaced with the water tank. The
mounting is done in the same way as a dump
body would be, and the tank can be tipped
a little until the rear wheel guards press
against the tyres. The tank itself has a ladder
at the front providing access to the top where

rear mounted heads. The side of the tank has
a recess where a pump and hose drum are
fitted with safety railings running around the
edge of the tank.
As a collector, I find it interesting to see
different configurations of the same base type
of equipment replicated and Chinese model
manufacturer Yu Lee have done a great job
in bringing water tanks and recovery vehicles
to market which certainly adds variety to the
display case. It will be interesting to see what
other BELAZ equipment will be replicated in
the future, considering they have a number of
interesting product lines.
