                                           Fibre Tower Crane





                                            The new Liebherr 370 EC-B 12 Fibre tower crane is an interesting
                                            model, produced in the smaller 1:87th scale by Conrad. Conrad
                                            are  well  known  for  producing  various  designs  of  tower  crane
                                            models and they have developed different ways of connecting the
                                            parts together, including metal pins in the ends of the tower sections
                                            that use friction fit and more recently, the use of small plastic pins
                                            which works well.

                                                      W          ith  the  370  EC-B,     There are four main tower masts,
                                                                 they have developed
                                                                                   the  lattice  base  which  needs  the
                                                                 a  new  way  of
                                                                                   counterweight slabs fitting into place,
                                                                              the
                                                                 connecting
                                                                                   electrical system, the back mast and
                                                      different mast and jib parts together in  the  main  slew  ring  with  cabin  and
                                                      a way which makes the crane easy to  a number of jib sections which allows
                                                      assemble and this has been achieved  the  builder  to  configure  the  crane
                                                      well, as the sections click into place  to any height or length they wish. A
