Telescopic Crane

The Sennebogen 613E telescopic crane
is available with either a mobile or crawler
undercarriage and it is good to see
Sennebogen commission 1:50th scale
models of both configurations. The
models, made by Ros have captured the
looks of the smallest telescopic crane
nicely with some interesting features.

T he casting differences are to
the undercarriages for the
mobile and crawler options
with the upper structure,
boom, cabin and accessories
identical. The mobile undercarriage
has two axles that have working
steering although the wheels and Right:
steering linkage are very loose and TThe crawler version has
extending track frames,
the wheels tend to droop a little. The using the same upper
steering angle of the wheels is ok and and boom tooling.
the outriggers are hydraulically
powered but do not have enough
stiffness to lift the model off its wheels.
