A nother new release from Conrad is the City Cat VR50e, a much larger road

sweeper which is designed on a rigid chassis with both axles having working
steering. At the rear, the hopper can be tipped to a good angle and there is
a pivoting tailgate which opens as the hopper is raised. With the hopper
raised, you can appreciate the chassis detailing which includes the vacuum suction
tube. The cabin interior has been modelled with two seats and operator controls present.
Externally, there are a pair of screen wipers, work lights, amber beacons and self-fit Above:
side mirrors and roof aerial. The rear hopper can be tipped to a realistic
Across the front of the chassis is a frame to which an adjustable arm is fitted. It can dump height, complete with pivoting tailgate.
traverse across the width of the chassis with the arm pivoting to allow sweeping around
objects and this works convincingly. Round sweeper brushes are fitted on both sides
and have the ability to swing out into the working position while retracting when
not needed. It is a shame that Bucher took the decision to produce the models in
1:40th scale rather than keep with the 1:50th scale of the other Bucher models
                  produced to date.

There is a detailed cabin interior
                                      and plenty of exterior details.
