When I first learnt that Kobelco had commissioned a scale model of the SK1300D demolition
excavator, I quickly had a look online at the machine specifications and hoped that a model would
capture the ability to configure in the numerous ways that the real machine can be configured.
With Conrad producing the model, I need not have worried and I have to say the implementation
is very impressive, particularly in that it can be shown in a transport configuration. One surprise
is that the version released does not include any of the three and four section high reach booms,
something we have to wait a little longer for. What we do have in the box is the short boom
configuration with a boom extension section which pins in place to increase the work height.
The packaging is of a high quality with a booklet detailing the model assembly.
