Midi Tracked Excavator

The fourth release in the contractor series from CCM is the Cat 308E2 CR SB midi tracked excavator, a
nice choice which once again packs plenty of detail and realism. One of the highlights of the model is

the engineering of the main body which has three opening panels revealing the rear oriented Cat C3.3B
diesel engine and cooling radiator module. Fine detailing includes colouring of the fluid bottles to show
them half full which is a nice touch. The large side panel can be opened to reveal the hydraulic distribution
system, fully populated with hydraulic hoses which travel to the various cylinders on the boom. The
addition of silver colouring for the coupling valves brings the panel to life and gives it a realistic feel

T he cabin has not been spared
with all hand and foot controls
incorporated into the light grey
coloured interior. The door can
be opened to reveal more of the
intricate detailing, like the raised
anti- slip ribbing on the floor mat and
the side console which houses the
display screen. Printing of a number
of safety labels has been done on
the inside window along with the
simulated window seals.
