From the editor

T he last twelve months have seen a rise in price for almost
everything we buy, from the essentials like food and heating,
to luxuries like magazines. Towards the end of 2022, I had
to look closely at the costs involved in producing the magazine and,
with no end in sight, there was the real prospect that the magazine

had become unviable.

I have always been a believer that things happen unexpectedly as we go
through life for a reason, and over the Christmas period, I was offered an Steven Downes
opportunity which, while involving undertaking more work, would also allow

me to continue producing the Truck, Plant & Machinery magazine, so I am Model World Editor
happy to report that during 2023, there will be a further 4 issues published, Email: editor@tpmmagazine.co.uk
starting with the Spring issue which is already underway with a scheduled www.tpmmagazine.co.uk
release date of late April, followed by the Summer issue late June. I hope to
have the Autumn issue ready in September with the Winter issue available by Find us
the end of the year.

This combined Autumn/Winter 2022 issue has taken what feels like an age
to get finished, partly due to illness, partly to other projects which have taken
priority. That said, the issue is packed with detailed reviews of models released
over the last 6 months of 2022 including some of the new models from the
Bauma trade event which took place in October, with pictures of the outdoor
exhibits included in this issue.

I appreciate your support, as without it, there would be no point in producing
the magazine and I can only apologise for the lateness in getting this issue
into your hands.
