BAUMA 2022

Held every three years, the Bauma trade show usually takes place in April and for 2022, due to

the ongoing Covid situation, the event was postponed for six months, eventually taking place on
the 24th October. My initial feelings were that the weather would play a part, and expected it to
be cold, however, the weather, apart from the Monday which was a little wet, was warm and

pleasant resulting in another enjoyable event which was well worth visiting.

It was actually good to be traveling again after Covid, catching up with fellow collectors, merchandising companies
and the various marketing people who gave me the lowdown on the myriad of new products on display.

Scale models were certainly plentiful with both Liebherr and the Wirtgen Group having a number of new additions
to their respective ranges while scattered about were other models including the long awaited Hitachi excavators,
Doosan Concept-X loader and excavator, Sennebogen 824G material handler, cranes from Grove, Tadano and
Wolff, trailers from Goldhofer, tipper trucks from Meiller, new Palfinger and Fassi models, Schwing and Cifa concrete
pumps and mixers and an interesting set of 1:50th scale demolition tools for MBI.

equipment on display.
