Caterpillar 259D Multi-Terrain Loader

Presented here is the 1:50th scale 259D multi-terrain loader from Diecast Masters which shares many of the same castings as the Cat 242D wheeled skid steer loader with a tracked undercarriage fitted to the chassis, complete with rubber band tracks which are nicely moulded to include the cut-outs for the sprockets on the elevated drive wheels.

The cabin is populated with a fixed driver figure and has a roof window with a protective frame beneath while the front glazed door has grab handles and a screen wiper with work lights installed at roof level.

The loader arms have an authentic range of movement which will hold in any chosen position and all the pin heads have been covered with paint which is a nice addition. The model comes with the same four work tools as the
Cat 242D and as one of the "High Line" series, it is packaged in a metal collectors tin which has printed technical details and photos of the real machine.
