Case 856C Motor Grader

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Case 856C motor grader which has been produced by Motorart and first launchedat the Intermat exhibition in Paris with the tooling based on the New Holland F156.7 grader with a new rear body casting and updated paint and graphics package.

There are no noticeable casting differences on the cabin, so there is still the imbalance of only half the safety railings on the cabin frame being replicated. The interior has a coloured finish with opening side doors allowing more of the interior highlights to be seen including the driver seating and central console with steering wheel.

The exterior of the cabin has thin scale grab rails fittd to the frames with screen wipers added to the front and rear windows while the roof line has silver painted lights front and back. Red painted side markers have also been added which is a nice touch.

The opening rear bonnet is a different casting to the F156 with smooth sides and a relocated exhaust port with the exhaust silencer reversed and finished in silver. Here again, thin scale metal grab rails have been fitted which add to the realism.

The front wheels have steering and angular adjustment which works quite well, with the rear bogies offering oscillation, all finished with treaded tyres and painted wheel hubs. The Case colours do look good with accurate placement of the markings on the sides of the body and frame. The ripper operates, the front blade is height adjustable and the main blade can be rotated and raised.
