Yanmar Vio35 Excavator

The Yanmar Vio35 replica is a rather unusual scale at 1:22nd and as such, does not really fit with any other compact construction model.

While the scale may be a strange choice, the model is a solid and heavy piece with rubber tracks and a height adjustable blade on the undercarriage while the upper body has recesses cast into the surface for the grills which are further embellished with black paint.

The mono-boom has a good range of movement with stiff hydraulics that allow it to remain in any chosen position. It is mounted to a kingpost which allows offset digging and this is fully functional on the model.

The large, fully enclosed cabin has a modelled interior visible through the clear glazing with a screen wiper and front facing work light adding to the detail, as does the flexible hydraulic lines at the foot of the base, although these are not extended to the rest of the boom and stick.
