Yanmar SV120 Tracked Excavator

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Yanmar SV120 tracked midi excavator which has been produced by NZG. The SV120 is the new name for what was the former Terex TC125 and is the largest machine in the Yanmar range, weighing in at 12,500kg. It is powered by a 116hp Deutz TCD3.6 L4 diesel engine and has a maximum dig depth of 4.33 metres. The compact dimensions and zero tail swing design make the SV120 ideal for trenching and excavating in confined jobsite's while the dozer blade allows for quick leveling.

The undercarriage of the SV120 is fitted with a dozer blade which is height adjustable with rubber band style tracks that have surface detailing added to the track frames which have rotating drive and idler wheels, silver finished access step and tiny printed safety markings.

The main body casting has accurately captured the contours of the full-sized machine with inset grill indentations and a black counterweight, finished with circular lights with both printed and red plastic inserts for the lenses.

The same castings are used on the Yanmar B110W wheeled excavator.

The cabin has a replicated interior, complete with levers for the track movements and joystick controls integrated into the armrests. The window seals are printed and the door and engine panel handles have been highlighted with tiny safety and warning labels added.

A monobloc boom has been fitted to the king post with added hydraulic hoses which give more realism to the model with authentic movement of the digging equipment, from the pivoting king post through to the bucket linkage. The toothed bucket can be detached from the coupler which is a nice feature.
