Spalding 2009

This year for the Spalding Truck and Construction show, I decided to exhibit a number of the latest model releases so that visitors can see the new models first hand. The centrepiece of the table was the Liebherr LG1750 crane from Conrad which took about 5 hours to fully erect along with the Bucyrus 495HR mining shovel in LB livery from TWH Collectibles. Also present was the Towhaul model fron Norscot which got plenty of attention during the day.

It was great to meet fellow collectors and discuss the latest releases, along with putting faces to the guys who frequent the DHS forums and it appears that a great day was had by all. I would like to give thanks to TWH Collectibles, Conrad, NZG, Norscot, Ros and Motorart for their support in getting the latest releases to me in time for the show. All the models displayed will be reviewed on the website over the coming weeks.

Some of the new models which should be available in the next couple of months.

There was much interest in the LG1750 and Towhaul models.

The accessory set for the Liebherr LRB255 will be available shortly.

The fully rigged LG1750 was proudly on display and looks great when built. Interestingly, this version of the model has already been discontinued and Conrad have sold out.

The striking colours of the LB decorated Bucyrus 495HR was a topic of interest. Also on display is a hand built model of a Junttan PM25 piling rig which a friend aquired at Bauma 2004.

My favourite of all the new models on display is the Vermeer TG7000 tub grinder which is an amazing model.

As well as the new models on display, pictures of the new 1:50th scale JLG range from TWH Collectibles were on display along with images of the new HET M1070-A1 with M1000 trailer.
