Sandvik LH621 Underground Loader

The Sandvik LH621 model in 1:50th scale was first introduced in 2008 and has recently been re-released by Conrad with updated markings. The side mounted cab is painted white with small windows on three sides giving a good degree of visibility to the work area. The cab interior has been replicated and you can see the seat and controls within.

The rear engine compartment features open sides which reveal the internal details including engine block, piping and exhaust system while the large rear radiator grill can be opened.

The bumper has yellow and black chevron safety markings printed on the corners with rear facing work lights, complete with silver painted lenses and a small access ladder up to the roof of the engine compartment.

The range of movement of the bucket is very realistic and two light modules, each with silver painted lenses are supplied in the box and need fixing to the loader arms. The articulated chassis has a good degree of steering movement with flexible piping crossing the joint. The wheel hubs are highly detailed with central cover plate and bolt heads all crisply modelled while the rubber tyres have a flexible feel.

The large bucket has wear plate detailing on the bottom and cutting edge surfaces with stiff hydraulics allowing the boom and bucket to be positioned as required. The printing differences include the placement and orientation of the machine designation on the side of the cabin and the Sandvik name printed on both sides and the rear below the engine grill which reflect the latest changes on the full sized machine.
