Rimac Moby 1060 Tracked Crusher

Presented here is the Rimac Moby 1060 tracked crusher in 1:50th scale from Ros.

There have not been many models of crushers and the only ones that spring to mind are the HiMoBo models of the Nordberg and Extec machines. The detail level on the Rimac Moby 1060 is far superior to those models with a host of moving parts and detailing throughout.

The conveyors on the model can be folded into their transport positions (as can be seen in the picture above) or fully extended in the working position. The long hydraulic cylinders mounted below the conveyor allow the entire conveyor assembly to be extended, presumably to aid in clearing blockages and this is fully working on the model. The opening engine covers are another great touch revealing the detailed engine and cooling systems inside.

The side mounted conveyor can also be folded up and there is even a direction chute underneath the hopper which can be set on one of two positions to direct all material to the main conveyor. One amazing discovery while looking over the model is that the entire hopper section can be moved away from the crusher throat, just like the real machine (As can be seen in the above picture). The undercarriage of the model has linked metal tracks which will rotate but are a little stiff.

This is a great model which looks good either in it's working configuration or on the back of a low loader. The paint finish on the whole is very good, however, the hydraulics have been painted and the paint has flaked off on one of the hydraulics as can be seen below. The safety and warning markings are all there with crisp "Rimac" markings all round.
