New Holland W170B Wheeled Loader
Presented here is the New Holland W170B wheel loader in 1:50th scale from NZG. The W170B is a little smaller than the previously released W190B model produced by Ros and, when compared side by side, both models have some nice touches and details.

The cab interior has been fully replicated with the driver's seat and central console with steering wheel visible through the clear windows. The cab frame has integrated grab rails with high mounted rear view mirrors and door hinge detailing with a windscreen wiper and New Holland printing on the front window.
Access steps have been added on both sides of the chassis although these are a little basic and don't have textured surfaces like those found on the W190B model. |

The rear body shape has been accurately captured with a contoured grill with New Holland logo and rear facing road lights with brake, indicator and reversing lenses depicted. |

The tyres have an accurate tread pattern mounded into them with Michelin branding on the tyre side walls for added realism. The articulated chassis has a good degree of movement with hydraulics and simulated drivetrain all added. Even the safety steering locking bar has been cast and highlighted with red paint.

The bucket has some good underside detailing including wear protection plates and bolt fixing detail. The loader arms raise to a good height and the Z-bar bucket linkage has aa authentic range of movement, although on the sample reviewed here, the piston is a loose fit so the bucket does not stay in the position chosen for long |
When lined up side by side, the level of detail is good on both models with the W170B having a little more crispness in the castings and finer detailing than the Ros model. This is another good addition to the growing range of New Holland models and I suspect there will be more to follow from NZG
