Mecalac 15MWR Wheeled Excavator

The 15MWR wheeled excavator model was first released in 2017 and now, this has been followed up with a new version. While the undercarriage, body and cabin remain the same, the boom system has been changed from the Mecalac Versatile boom to an offset two-piece boom which has the stick cylinder mounted above the arm, rather than underneath with the previous design

Out of the box, the model comes with three work tools consisting of a toothed digging bucket, full width loading bucket and pallet forks which are configured for the new "Connect" quick coupler.

The new hydraulic quick coupler on the real machine . The new boom has a very good range of movement and the cylinders hold the position chosen without any drooping while the coupler has been very cleverly engineered to function on the model, easily picking up any of the attachments either way round.

The superstructure has 360 degree rotation with a moulded cabin interior highlighting the driver seating and controls with slightly tinted windows.

The engine compartment highlights the contours and styling perfectly, right down to the inset grill with a fine textured finish.

The undercarriage has two axles which have independent steering, allowing tight turn and crab steer modes to be demonstrated while the blade at one end and the two outriggers at the other can be fully adjusted and will lift the wheels off the ground.
