Linde H50-H80 Forklift Truck

Presented here is the 1:25th scale Linde H50-H80 forklift truck from Conrad. The forklift is powered by a modern 85kW diesel engine which is coupled to a Linde developed hydrostatic transmission system offering low maintenance and high performance. The truck is capable of lifting up to 8000kg and is the largest in a new series, featuring a unique torsion support system to absorb up to 30% of the dynamic torsion effects caused by heavy and bulky loads. The model from Conrad is constructed from quality die-cast and has a heavy weight with some authentic detailing.

The rear of the model features a steering axle that achieves a very realistic range of steering movement for tight positioning with rubber tyres that have an industrial style tread pattern while the wheel hubs have raised detailing of the fixing bolts.

The rear body shape incorporating the counterweight has a recessed area with a modelled towing connection. The grill is modelled with cutouts for cooling with inset rear facing light clusters that have integrated red and orange lenses.

Plastic steps with a textured anti-slip surface are fitted on one side of the chassis for safe operator access. Small plastic guards are fitted above the front wheels which have dual tyres fitted to the axle.

The cabin is spacious with an authentically contoured seat with surface detailing and a safety grab handle. The side control panel integrated into the armrest has several raised levers for controlling the operations of the forklift while foot pedals and a steering column are also present within the cabin area.

The torsion support system has been implemented on the model with the mast connected to a pair of hydraulic cylinders connected to the roof structure, in turn leading to the rear of the chassis.

A protective safety screen is incorporated into the design and this panel is fixed to the mast and slides as the angle of the mast is adjusted.

The mast can be raised and the forks are fixed in position on the trolley so there is no pitch adjustment of the individual forks. The trolley is connected with a rope to the mast, so as the mast extends, the forks raise and this works very well. Unfortunately, the main lift cylinders are non-functional so while they are modelled, they do not control the mast height, relying only on friction to hold position. The paint finish is first class and the Linde markings are authentically applied.
