Liebherr PR736 LGP Bulldozer
Presented here is the 1:50th scale Liebherr PR736 LGP bulldozer which has been produced by NZG. This is one of two different versions of the machine featuring low ground pressure tracks and a 6-way blade while the other version is the PR736 XL with conventional blade.
First introduced at the 2013 Bauma trade show, the Liebherr PR736 is the latest generation crawler featuring a service weight between 20 and 25 tonnes. The new concept tractor offers increased efficiency with reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Manufactured at the Liebherr-Werk Telfs GmbH factory in Austria, the generation 6 machines have a totally new cabin design for an exceptional view of the work area with touch screen technology providing the interface for all the system settings.
The cabin has been accurately modelled with the seat, hand controls and central console all visible, complete with printed display screen while the exterior of the cabin has integrated work lights and a rear air conditioning unit with rear view mirrors and grab rails.
The engine housing uses multi-layer printing to form the grills and this looks effective with a large plastic front grill and grey hydraulics, topped with silver light housings and flexible hydraulic hoses. Safety warning labels have been printed on the engine sides and silver has been used to highlight all the fixing bolt heads which enhance the looks of the model.
The blade arms are mounted directly to the chassis with extended width track frames, fitted with wider track pads which again have single grouser detailing. The track frame castings show plenty of surface detailing with individually fitted lower rollers and tensioned idler wheels.
The 6-in-1 blade does offer plenty of adjustment including height, angle and tilt with surface detailing highlighting the folding side sections of the blade which are used to reduce the blade width during road transport.
The rear 3-shank ripper can be adjusted in height and each shank has a contoured tooth which is actually very sharp at the tip. Flexible hoses have been fitted to the lift cylinder which achieves a good range of movement and is stiff, allowing the machine to be posed with the tracks off the ground.
