The latest incarnation of the popular track loader from Liebherr is the LR636 which has several noticeable differences over its predecessor, not to mention some rather subtle changes and Conrad have done a great job realising the latest design.

The main reason for the update is the latest emission standards and the entire rear bodywork has been updated with the exhaust relocated from the centre, a new grille with open slats fitted to the rear along with different sized side grills that have a printed pattern. The hydraulic ram for the ripper has an integrated service platform and a rear facing camera housing has been added while the track frames have a change to the upper roller.

The cabin has also seen some small cosmetic changes, although the grab rails and integrated mirrors still need fitting. The painting is also different, with the track frames retaining the grey colour but the lower chassis is now finished in yellow.

The bucket is the same casting as the previous LR634 which is a shame, as there was an opportunity to model the 4-in-1 bucket. The range of movement of the loader arms and Z-bar linkage is excellent, and the rear ripper is also height adjustable. The LR636 is a worthy update with a fine paint finish and crisply applied markings.
