Kaelble Atlas L260 Wheel Loader
The intellectual properties for the former Terex heavy wheel loader range have been purchased by Atlas Maschinen with production moving to the Atlas factory in Ganderkesee, Germany. The range consists of the TL160, TL210, TL260 & TL310 heavy wheeled loaders and these will be branded under the well known Kaelble name, joining the L420 & L450 and incorporating the latest Tier 4 final engine emission standards by the end of 2014.
The existing 1:50th scale TL260 wheel loader from NZG has been released in the new blue and grey colours with all new branding. The model features a light coloured cabin interior with good external detailing incorporating wing mirrors, a metal screen wiper and silver steps fitted to both sides of the chassis.
The rear bonnet is nicely molded with grill details and accurately placed Kaelble markings and the rubber tyres have an authentic tread pattern with the Michelin brand cast into the side walls which is another nice addition to the model.

The cab interior is fully reproduced with operator controls and seat visible through the clear glazed windows with simulated rubber window seals painted on to add more realism.

There is a falling debris protection grill integrated into the cab roof along with a small roof window which adds to the overall appearance of the model. |
The model features a very good range of movement on the loader arms and Z bar linkage making it possible to pose the model loading various tipper trucks and the straight edge of the bucket has some nicely modelled teeth.
