With the release of the new 1:50th scale JCB JS220, i have decided to use one of the models to do a little conversion. The way the model is assembled adds to the ease at which it can be taken apart.

I have removed the bucket and replaced it with a brass quick hitch and small sorting grab from CMM. This is a simple but effective conversion and really enhances the model. It is a pity that JCB and Motorart could not come up with a working quick hitch and bucket set which would have added greatly to the model

The hammer attachment is that of an E-Series Rammer hammer. It was obtained from MDC and is made of resin. The convertor plate needed to enable it to fit to the quick hitch is from CMM and was glued to the top of the hammer before painting.

The final attachment i have added is the "riddle" bucket. This is used mainly in demolition where material can be sorted. The bucket is made of brass and fits directly to the quick hitch. There are a number of other attachments that have been developed to fit on the range of quick hitches including shears, grading and angled ditch digging buckets.
