JLG 1250AJP Ultra Boom Lift
The 1250AJP ultra boom is an amazing sized machine featuring four wheel steering with retractable oscillating axle, a Deutz BF4M2011 diesel engine and automatic platform levelling with a maximum lift height of 125 ft which is achieved from the three section main and two section secondary boom and the 1:32nd scale replica features all the details of the full sized machine giving a very heavy and impressive model standing over 46" tall with booms fully raised.

The undercarriage features four extending beams which connect to the wheels to give a wide footprint on the ground. Each wheel features authentic rubber tyres and steering joint allowing each wheel to turn individually.

The front cover can be removed revealing the non functional hydraulic jacks and flexible hose detailing beneath which simulate the levelling system of the full sized machine. |

The main boom is connected to the rear frame with a stiff hydraulic giving the ability to raise the boom to any angle chosen. It is not strong enough to keep the boom raised when fully extended and will droop over time. The three section telescopic boom can be fully entended but there is no locking ability so the sections tend to drop back down over time. The second boom has a single extending plastic section which connects to the functional jib which has about 150 degree additional up/down movement and about 270 degree rotational movement. The platform is connected to the end of the jib and has the ability to rotate through 180 degrees giving an amazing level of positional ability

Flexible hydraulic hoses have been added to the boom and jib sections to give a high level of realism and the detailed plastic platform features safety rails and raised hand guard around the control console. The controls are realistically molded with accurately placed safety and operating instructions.

The side engine compartments has opening gull wing doors which reveal the fully replicated engine block, cooling systems, electrical components and fuel tanks within. The hinges are very loose and the doors do not remain in the raised position without using something to keep them propped up. |

The hydraulic pump has been reproduced in the engine compartment and flexible hydraulic hoses have been added inside the engine compartment and at various positions on the boom to give that extra level of realism. |

The model is deceptively large with an 11" length when fully collapsed and is pictured below next to the JLG 4013 telehandler model to give a size comparison.
The packaging consists of a two piece polystyrene inner carton which securely holds the model while the orange and white printed outer cardboard box has details of the JLG company. This is one of the first series of models released by JLG and has the part number 79799.
