Hitachi ZW310-6 Wheel Loader

Hitachi ZW310-6 Wheel Loader

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Hitachi ZW310-6 wheel loader from Replicars which has been updated to reflect the new rear engine design, giving it a slightly longer appearance even though when placed side by side, it is exactly the same length as the earlier ZW310-5.

The front chassis, loader arms, bucket and cabin are the same castings as the ZW310-5 with the cabin interior visible through the clearly glazed windows all round with a blue decorated driver's seat and light grey interior.

The cab interior can be seen through the clearly glazed windows all round with a blue decorated driver's seat and light grey interior. The driver's steering controls are visible with authentically scaled grab rails fitted to the cab frame, complete with integrated rear view mirrors.

Access ladders on each side of the chassis lead to the textured platforms with authentic scaled safety railings fitted. The most noticeable difference between the 'Dash 5' and 'Dash 6' versions is the addition of small service ladders at the rear on both sides giving access to the engine compartment.

The loader arms with Z-bar linkage raise to a realistic height allowing the model to be posed loading trucks while the tipping angle of the bucket authentically captures the range of movement of the original. All the pins used to assemble the loader arms and linkage are of a friction fit design so there are no large rivet heads seen, adding to the realistic appearance with orange painted tips on the hydraulic lift rams.

The rear grill has a fine dimpled surface rather than the large slots of the dash 5 model which means the internal fan blade is no longer visible. The upper shape of the engine cover has a different orientation of the air intake and exhaust with the updated graphics printed on the body sides.

The tyres on the loader have a crisply moulded tread pattern with wheel hubs clearly showing the bolt fixing details while the articulated chassis has a reasonable range of steering movement with hydraulic pistons visible. The paint finish is to a high standard with an even coating allowing all the surface casting details to show through. The printing of the Hitachi name and machine designation is crisp and clear. The new ZW310-6 can be ordered direct from the Hitachi Merchandising Webshop.
