Liebherr

The Liebherr stand this year was dominated by the concrete batching plant with the new R954C excavator and PR724 dozer on static display. The R964B was on display in the demonstration area along with a Liebherr wheeled loader.

The R954C is shown here with the quick coupler that allows hydraulic attachments to be connected in seconds. This was demonstrated by changing from digging bucket to hammer within 30 seconds. The hammer was then demonstrated to show how quick the changeover is, without ever leaving the cab.

The full range of Liebherr models was available to buy and most were on display inside. The A900C ZW model was a particularly good seller with 20 being sold within the first 2 hours of the show. There are rumoured to be a number of new models released from Liebherr in the next six to twelve months(listed below). There is also likely to be an update of the old PR752 model into the new PR754 version. There's already a new version of the T282B mining truck with dark grey wheel hubs.

For the crane collectors, the printing on the box of the LTC1055 now shows it to be a LTC1055-3.1.
There was no difference in the actual model inside the box.

New Model rumours include the R954C and a new 1:50th scale R924 Compact tracked excavator with metal tracks from Conrad. NZG are likely to be bringing out a 1:50th scale R994B mining shovel while Norscot are believed to be working on two new models, the A904C wheeled excavator and the R904C tracked excavator with metal tracks. Brami are currently working on a new Liebherr Piling Rig in 1:50th scale, the exact machine type is currently unknown.

There could be a new version of the R996 which will have grey painted tracks instead of the current silver ones and there are still rumours that Conrad will release another version of the R984C with quick hitch, Ripper Tooth, Bucket and Hammer.
