Liebherr R944C Tracked Excavator with MSD 3000 Shear
The Liebherr R944C material handler from Universal Hobbies is the base model for this conversion with the Labounty MSD3000 shear from Gaz Evans.

The stick has been removed and cut to size with a new rotating plate fabricated from spare parts and plastic card fitted to the end.

The shear is supplied pre-assembled and unpainted. The pins can be removed to assist in painting and once dry, the attachment can be re-assembled. The shear comes with both stick and boom mounting parts but these have been discarded for this conversion. |
The conversion has turned out pretty good and was relatively easy to make. The hydraulics on the base model are not that stiff but the boom can just about hold in position.
