Caterpillar 777D Dumptruck

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Caterpillar 777D Dumptruck from Norscot. The 777D is a popular product in the Catepillar hauler range, found at numerous mines and quarries throughout the world.

The model is nicely detailed and features operational dump body and front steering linkage, although the degree of tip on the dump bed is little less than on the full sized truck so you cannot get full tip. The safety railings around the front deck are plastic and look a little overscaled and thick. There are also plastic rails fitted to the access steps on both sides of the radiator grill.

The paint finish is good with all markings faithfully reproduced. This is a good addition to the Caterpillar model range and while it is not as detailed as some of the more recent releases, it still captures the essence of the 777D.
