Caterpillar EP16(C)PNT Lift Truck
Presented here from Norscot is the EP16(c) PNT forklift truck with a lifting capacity of 1600kg and a lift height of 3.29 metres. The EP16 is a new generation electric powered counterbalance truck with excellent manoeuvrability with a spacious operator’s station and steer-by-wire control system reducing operator fatigue.

The open cabin with protective metal frame has captured the details of the full sized truck very well, from the shaped seat, side armrest and fork control switches integrated into the right hand armrest to the raised steering column and foot controls.

The forks can be positioned to different widths to handle large and small pallets with a functional central cylinder controlling the height of the trolley while two cylinders raise the two section mast. The resistance is good, so any position can be maintained.
The model has a three wheel layout with a double tyred rotating rear axle providing tight cornering. The tyres have a shallow tread pattern with surface detailing added to the wheel hubs.
The paint finish and application of the Caterpillar graphics is of a high quality and the model is a good addition to the 1:25th scale fleet.
