Caterpillar 250E Articulated Dump Truck

Presented here is the Caterpillar D250E articulated dumptruck in 1:50th scale from NZG. The articulating steering is functional with a good degree of movement although there are no hydraulic cylinders used. The access steps up the back of the wheel arch have metal safety railings with a grill mounted over the rear window.

The rear wheels are mounted to a pivoting arm to provide simulated suspension and the dump bed can be tipped to a very good angle. There is even a small tailgate on the rear of the bed which folds down, just like the full sized truck.

The rubber tyres have an accurate tread pattern moulded into them with plastic wheel hubs. The paint finish is very good with accurate placement of the Caterpillar markings.
