1:50th Scale Caterpillar CS-583C Single Drum Compactor

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Caterpillar CS-583C single drum compactor with ROPs canopy from NZG. The smooth surface of the metal drum has a silver finish with an articulating frame providing the steering.

The rear wheels have accurately moulded tyres, complete with an intricate tread pattern and plastic wheel hubs while the driver's station with canopy has a seat and central control console with steering wheel fitted. Metal hand rails are fitted leading up to the compartment with steps integrated into the chassis. As well as the version reviewed here, there is also a version of the CS-583C with a fully enclosed cab.
