1:50th Scale Caterpillar AP1000 Wheeled Asphalt Paver

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Caterpillar AP1000 wheeled asphalt paver from NZG. This is a fairly detailed model with pivoting bar across the front of the hopper, complete with moulded rollers along with tilting side panels and conveyor belt detailing cast into the bottom of the hopper.

The upper deck has duplicate driving controls on each side with metal safety rails centrally mounted to the access platform. The main body casting has grill textured panels and diamond plate textured flooring wich looks good.

The rear screed has extending side sections with integrated foot panels which pull out smoothly. The screed can also be raised although the range of movement is very limited and the cylinders are not capable of holding the weight of the screed for long. The paint finish is very good with decals placed all around the body of the model.
