Caterpillar 950H Wheel Loader

The Caterpillar 950H wheel loader model in 1:50th scale from Norscot is another model with accurately scaled handrails and plenty of detail. This shows the improvement from Norscot over the last 12 months.

The rear of the model features detailed cooling grill with rear facing work lights and steps fitted to the counterweight. The rubber wheels with authentic tread pattern and detailed wheel hubs are freely rotating and the steering articulation has a good degree of movement.

The cab exterior has front and rear work lights with grab rails on both sides of the cab. Front and rear windscreen wipers are fitted and the cab doors can be opened to reveal the detailed operator station, complete with controls, steering wheel and console. One noticable absence on the model is that there are no rear view mirrors.

The loader arms can be raised and the Z bar linkage is functional, although the range of movement is limited. The tip cylinder has flexible hose detail while the bucket has detailed teeth. This is another good model from Norscot and a nice addition to the Caterpillar model fleet.
