Caterpillar 432F2 Backhoe Loader

Presented here is the 1:50th scale Caterpillar 432F2 backhoe loader which uses the same body, cabin and front loader castings as the 420F2 with an updated rear end featuring side-shift configuration.

The king post can be positioned along the full width of the model while the vertical stabilisers can be extended and will hold the weight of the model, allowing the wheels to be raised off the ground. The stick is also different, having an inner extending sliding movement which I think looks better than the stick of the 420F2.

The cabin interior has been modelled convincingly with both front and rear controls and a light grey centre console, complete with scale figure which is seated in a forward facing position.

The model is supplied with six attachments and thankfully, on this version, the loader bucket is more proportionately scaled than the earlier releases from Norscot although the other work tools look to be the same castings.

All the various rivet heads have been painted over which really enhances the looks of the model with small touches including highlighting the electrical line of the amber beacon and painting the diesel exhaust fluid cap blue while the safety bar is highlighted red on the bucket tip cylinder.
