Caterpillar 272C Skid-Steer Loader

Presented here is the 1:32nd scale Caterpillar 272C skid steer loader from Norscot. The Caterpillar 272C skid steer loader is the top of the range, housing the same Cat 3044C diesel engine as the 297C with a long wheel base design and vertical lift loader arms. The newly designed cab frame has a glazed roof panel with integrated work lights and mesh sides with a replicated interior with driver's seat and controls, including the fold down safety bars. The wheels are fitted with rubber tyres that have an accurate tread pattern moulded into the surface. They freely rotate and have bolt head detailing visible on the plastic hubs.

The rear engine compartment door has integrated lights and top radiator cover with a textured grill pattern. The arms can be raised to a good height and the pin heads on the linkages have been painted over which is good to see.

The model is supplied with three work tools consisting of bucket, pallet forks and grapple bucket which fit to the quick coupler device attached to the loader arms. While the pallet forks and grapple bucket look fine attached to the model, because the attachments are the same ones as supplied with the smaller 226/247 models, the standard bucket looks underscale when fitted to the coupler.
