Atlas 140W Wheeled Excavator "Updated Design"

Atlas GmbH has commissioned an updated version of their 140W wheeled excavator. The original was produced by NZG and they have now released the updated version featuring a new body casting which highlights the new styling of the real machine.

The side engine panel now has indented grill slots highlighted with black paint which look good while the counterweight has a new shape and new graphics. The light lenses are particularly interesting with the printed pattern.

The undercarriage, boom, stick and bucket are the same design as the previous version and have an excellent range of movement with good use of flexible hoses for the hydraulic lines. The red painted grab handles stand out and actually add to the visual impact of the model while the grey and orange paint scheme has been applied perfectly and the colours contrast well.

The undercarriage has a functional blade at one end and twin stabilisers with pivoting pads at the other which can be lowered to give better stability. The front axle has working steering with authentic twin rubber tyres which have an accurate moulded tread pattern.

The cab has a detailed interior with operator controls and console all visible through the slightly tinted windows whilst the cab frame has an integrated grab rail with rear view mirror, an etched windscreen wiper and roof window with protruding sunscreen. The model is protected well in a two piece polystyrene carton with printed cardboard box which features an image of the full sized machine.
