Atlas 140W Wheeled Excavator

Presented here is the limited edition 1:50th scale Atlas 140W wheeled excavator from NZG in the distinctive blue colours of Ludwig Freytag. The model has some very nice detailing including flexible hydraulic pipe work on the boom and stick along with a fully functional boom and bucket linkage.

The cab has a detailed interior with operator controls and console all visible through the slightly tinted windows whilst the cab frame has an integrated grab rail with rear view mirror, an etched windscreen wiper and roof window with protruding sunscreen. Window seals have been added and the door handle is highlighted, as are the handles on the engine panels.

The undercarriage has a functional blade at one end and twin stabilisers with pivoting pads at the other which can be lowered to give better stability. The front axle has working steering with authentic twin rubber tyres which have an accurate moulded tread pattern.

The curvy body styling has been modelled well with rear facing light cutouts cast into the rear counterweight. The safety railings are finished in the dark blue colours with clear Ludwig Freytag logos located on the body sides and on the boom.

The two tone blue colours really make the model stand out and this is a rather unusual release in that it is widely available from model dealers.
