1:50th Scale Atlas 1140 Single Drum Compactor

Presented here is the latest addition to the Atlas model fleet in the form of the 1140 single drum vibratory compactor in 1:50th scale from NZG. The model is constructed well with plenty of visible detail throughout from the replicated cab interior and authentic treaded tyres to the authentic drum vibration mechanism.

The cab interior has a contoured seat with integral armrests and central steering column all visible through the slightly tinted windows which have printed rubber seal edges. The front and rear windows have windscreen wipers fitted with integral rear view mirrors cast into the cab frame.

The articulating steering is functional with flexible hydraulic piping visible on the front frame along with grill style cab access steps. The large front drum has a smooth surface and rotates freely with the inside of the drum having additional cast detailing which is different on each end. This level of detail is seldom seen on a compactor model.

The rear sloping body has a textured cooling grill and upper panel detailing along with a contoured bumper with intergated towing lugs and footrest for easier maintenance access to the engine compartment.
