** Announcements **
There are some big changes happening at the moment with both Truck Model World and Plant & Machinery Model World magazines which are due to a number of reasons, but primarily due to the titles no longer being profitable for the publisher who does not have the cashflow available to continue producing the titles.
IGP has chosen to go with a new editor for the Truck Model World magazine title, which will now be moving more to the plastic model builds and customisations and will not contain the same amount of diecast reviews. There is no news yet on when the next issue of TMW will be published, or if the schedule will be changed to a quarterly magazine instead of the current bimonthy schedule. I will update here when more details are known.
Over the last 10 months, the release of PMMW in particular has been very hit and miss, with the issue being hard to find in WHSmith stores and often arriving with subscribers weeks after it becomes available in the shops. Despite IGP telling me each time that the next issue will be ok and everything will work, it doesn't and the March/April issue only got to subscribers 5 weeks after it went on sale, which is far from good enough. At the current time, there will be no further issues of PMMW produced until there is a clear plan forward, which is likely to involve changing the format of the magazine to appeal to a wider audience, most likely on a quarterly schedule. I will be working hard over the coming weeks in the hope of relaunching a title in the not too distant future with a number of additions to the regular features of PMMW including collector focus stories, guest writers, show & event reports and "how to" articles along with the model reviews. Updates will follow in due course.
In the meantime, I will be updating the website on a weekly basis with new reviews of the latest Bauma model releases and news, so keep tuned
