Yanmar V8 Wheel Loader

Presented here is the Yanmar V8, another fine release from Ros packing plenty of detail and features into a sturdy model. The articulating chassis is operated by a single hydraulic cylinder providing a fair range of steering movement.

Flexible hydraulic lines have been added to the front frame which adds to the realism, with hoses also fitted to the quick coupler which has been modelled but is non-functional, so it is not possible to easily remove the straight edge loading bucket.

The wheels have nice surface detailing of the casings with a deep tread pattern added to the rubber tyres. The enclosed cabin has an opening door allowing all the internal features to be seen, from the driver’s seat and central steering column topped with steering wheel and hand levers to the metal grab rail while the external details include screen wipers and rear view mirrors.

Printing has been used to frame the plastic door panel and this works well while overall, the paint finish is to a high standard with crisply applied Yanmar markings. The rear engine cover can be lifted up to reveal the populated interior, showing the single colour engine block and silver finished radiator.
