1:50th Scale Watzinger 42XXT Concrete Pump

Presented here is the Watzinger 42XXT concrete pump from NZG. The model is based on a 4-axle Mercedes chassis with a highly detailed cab with fitted rear view mirrors, textured access steps, clear plastic light lenses, roof mounted beacon and authentic number plate printed on the front bumper.

The four outriggers can be extended from the chassis and the way the legs fit into each other in the travel position is very interesting and shows the level of engineering that went into the machine. The front legs extend telescopically to give a greater footprint and the pads can be lowered.

The rear decking has an accurate anti slip diamond plate texture with access steps located at the rear of the chassis. Interestingly, the operator controls are mounted on the rear deck and access safety rails have been added for extra realism.

The rear hopper has a lift off cover and the striking red piping travels from the pump to the slew ring where it then travels the entire length of the four section boom which can be positioned. The hydraulic cylinders are a little loose on the model so the boom needs help in holding position. This has been considered and the plastic cylinders have small holes in them where pins (supplied in the box) can be inserted to hold the boom in it's raised position.

The paint finish is extellent throughout with accurate and authentic markings all round. The number plate printing is a very nice touch and gives the model a more realistic appearance.
