Vogele Super 1900-2 Tracked Paver
Presented here is the 1:50th scale limited edition Vögele Super 1900-2 tracked paver in KIBAG Group livery from NZG. Vögele has won the 2007 product design award for pavers with the new Super 1900-2 tracked paver.
The front hopper sides are fully functional to tip the material onto the detailed conveyor, complete with simulated front barriers to prevent material spilling out of the front. Rotating rollers are fitted to a pivoting bar on the front of the model which marry up with the rear wheels of the tipper truck delivering the asphalt material.

The rear of the model is highly detailed with working height adjustment of the screed and extending side panels which give a much wider laying width. The rear platform has a floating central section which becomes visible as the side sections extend with access steps leading onto the upper deck which is finished with a silver coloured diamond plate texture. |

The ErgoPlus control system controls are mounted on each side of the rear spreader and the main control station has a sliding control console which allows the paver to be operated from either side.
The seats have a slide out motion which gives a better view of the area and there are accurately scaled handrails all round the model. The canopy has sliding extension panels on each side which extend to protect the operator when the seats are in the extended position.
A nicely replicated feature of the canopy is the ability to fold it down into a transport configuration. A metal bar is connected from the canopy to the exhaust stack which also folds down and this works well on the model. The side engine grills are defined well with black paint used to simulate the inner screen material.
The model is nicely finished in the KIBAG blue & grey colours with crisp printing of the KIBAG logos on the hopper and the engine sides with the company slogan printed across the front and rear edges of the canopy.
