1:50th Scale Valmet 890 Forwarder
This is the new 1:50th scale Valmet 890.3 wheeled forwarder from Sword Precision Scale Models.
The undercarriage is articulated with two axles on each end with working suspension and featuring the same sized rubber tyres with authentic tread pattern and linked metal tracks. Operator access to the cab is provided by the drop down access ladder behind the cab.
The rear chassis of the model has four location points where the separate arms locate and each one features folding upright posts with removable extension poles. Brake, reverse and indicator lights are visible on the rear of the model along with a towing hitch

The front blade can be raised and lowered while the front mesh screen can be folded down in order to open the engine compartment to reveal the detailed tier3 Sisu Diesel 74 CTA engine. The cab can be tilted to the side to access the hydraulics and associated components underneath, just like on the real machine. The cab itself features opening side door and fully reproduced cab interior with rotating seat and operator controls. The clear windows have windscreen wipers fitted front and rear while the roof mounted working lights, complete with damage protection are faithfully reproduced. |
The CRF14 crane features a functioning grapple, extending stick and two piece boom which is mounted on the rear chassis behind the cab. There is 180 degrees of rotation and full hydraulic hose detail throughout to finish off what is a superb model.
The model is packed in a two piece polystyrene box with printed cardboard outer box featuring pictures and details of the real machine. There is a region free DVD inside the box which features footage of the machine at work with footage of other machines and harvesting heads in the range. An information booklet with pictures and information on the machine is also provided along with a plastic tool with a point at one end and a flexible flat spade at the other for opening the various compartments and cab doors. This is an awesome model with more detail that i have ever seen on a 1:50th scale die-cast model and shows just what can be achieved.
