1:50th Scale Terex TC225LC Tracked Excavator
Presented here is the new 1:50th scale Terex TC225LC tracked excavator from NZG.

The bucket has some very good looking teeth with grooves cast into them just like on the full sized machine. The wear protection plates have also been added to the bucket which adds to the realism.
The rear body has been accurately modelled with cut outs for the rear facing lights and cooling panel grills. The upper surface has painted anti slip panels and the red grab rails have been added, like on the TW140 which I think add to the aesthetic appearance of the model. |

The undercarriage has some very nice looking individually linked metal track pads with triple grouser and bolt detailing added. |

The cab is highly detailed with windscreen wiper, rear view mirrors and front facing work lights all present on the cab frame with tinted windows and a fully reproduced cab interior.
The boom on the model looks a little longer than would normally be expected for this size of machine and yet this gives the model a more imposing look. The added hydraulic hoses increase the level of realism and the bucket linkage has a good amount of movement. It is a pity that NZG did not add a quick coupler as they do to a number of their other excavator models.
This is another good model release from NZG with an excellent paint finish and accurately placed Terex decoration and it is good to see Terex taking the decision to have a fantastic range of scale models of their construction machines produced. The model is well protected in a two piece polystyrene carton with printed cardboard box.
