1:50th Scale Terex TA40 Articulated Dumptruck

This is the new Terex TA40 articulated dump truck from NZG in 1:50th scale. The model is based on their largest 40ton truck with a high degree of detail. The rear wheels feature a working oscilating suspension with drive shaft visible underneath the frame.

The articulation point has working hydraulic steering with flexible hoses glued to the lift cylinders. The rear dump bed can be raised although caution needs to be taken as the cylinders are very stiff and damage can occur if forced. The rear mud flaps are made from flexible rubber which is a nice touch on the model and adds to the overall levels of realism.

The exhaust and silencer box are visible behind the cab which features a detailed interior with steering wheel, driver and passenger seats and molded dashboard all visible through the clear glazed windows. The cab exterior has large frames on each side where the rear view mirrors are fitted, complete with silver painting to simulate the reflective surfaces.

Grab rails and wind screen wipers are also fitted to the cab with operator access steps on both sides of the vehicle, finished with simulated anti slip panels and silver painted steps. The rear window has a printed mesh pattern to simulate the safety screen which is a nice touch and again adds to the realism

The front of the model has a printed mesh grill pattern on the bonnet which looks very authentic with work lights cast into the front bumper complete with silver painted lenses. The tyres fitted to the model have an authentic tread pattern with white painted hubs and grey inner disks which have bolt head detailing to finish off another fantastic ADT model and another welcomed addition to the expanding Terex model collection.

The paint finish is very good on the model with crisp Terex markings on the dump bed and bonnet sides with painted front and rear light lenses. The model is supplied in a two piece polystyrene carton with outer printed cardboard box and carries the NZG part number 681.
