1:50th Scale Terex RH340 Backhoe Excavator
Presented here is the awesome Terex RH340 backhoe excavator from Brami.
The top decking has photo etched plates, fire suppressant equipment and a work bench, complete with vice. The four exhaust outlets have been added at the rear of the deck and the fire supressant equipment is placed differently than the shovel version.
The side mounted mid platform gives access to the engine compartment and looking through the opening, all the engine detailing can be seen. The access ladder can be lowered and has photo etched steps along with mesh patterned gangways with accurately scaled handrails.
The cab is one of the most detailed I have seen with the internal monitors actually printed with an authentic guage pattern. The operators seat, complete with joystick controls are also visible, as is the secondary seat and main control console.
The fully functioning service crane is located to the side with flexible hydraulic hose detailing and control console. The blue painted vice is a nice touch on the model and shows the amount of thought that has been put into creating this stunning model.

The pipework on the back of the boom has been completely replicated from the original machine with flexible rubber tubing extending down to the main cylinders and over the articulation point to the bucket cylinders.
The bucket is exceptionally well detailed with full wear plate protection, ribbing on the inside surfaces and highly detailed teeth and cutting surfaces.

The side panels on the model have detailed fan blades visible behind the grills which are used to keep the hydraulic fluid cool and this is another great touch on the model, giving it an amazing level of realism.
The undercarriage features individually linked track pads with an indented flat surface. The track frames are highly detailed with bolt heads visible on the main sprocket housing and cross members. The track support rollers can be rotated and despite it's size, the tracks do freely rotate.
The rear counterweight has finely cast plastic grills which partially hide the two large replicated cooling fans, complete with drive hoses which is something not usually reproduced on a model.
The paint finish is exceptional with accurate decal placement. It is very hard to determine what parts are plastic as the colour match is about the best I have seen, although if the model is left where the sun can get to it, the plastic colour will bleach to a pure white so caution needs to be taken. The model is now available under the new brand of BYMO.
