Terex Fuchs MHL350 Material Handler
Presented here is the updated 1:50th scale Terex Fuchs MHL350 material handler which has been produced by Conrad. This version is an update to the earlier release with a new cast rear counterweight and updated colours including graphics to celebrate the companies 125 year history.
The body castings have surface engraving of the cooling grills with flexible hydraulic lines fitted to the boom. The model is fitted with a 5-tine cactus scrap grab which has opening jaws and 360 degree rotation with the stick and boom offering a very realistic range of movement.
The cabin is fitted to a high-rise linkage offering an unobstructed view of the work area and this is functional on the model, with the hydraulic cylinder elevating the cabin to any chosen height while flexible hydraulic lines are fitted behind the cabin.

The interior of the cab has been modelled with a plastic casting showing the operator's seat, steering wheel and armrests which have integrated joystick controls. |
The clear glazed windows have printed seals for added realism with a grab rail integrated into the cab frame.

The rear counterweight is a new casting with a curved contour and inset rear facing lights with orange and red painted lenses. Everything else on the model uses the same castings as the earlier release, with an updated decoration consisting mainly of a grey undercarriage which was blue on the earlier version. |
The undercarriage has functioning four-point outriggers which have pivoting pads and stiff hydraulics allowing the weight of the model to be raised off the ground. The tyres have a crisp moulded tread pattern with silver hubs and black centres although both axles are fixed, so there is no working steering on the model.
The sides of the body feature printing to celebrate the companies 125 year history and the packaging also reflects this with updated printing. The paint finish of the model is very good with crisply applied graphics and Terex markings.
