1:50th Scale Terex PPM AC40/2 Mobile Crane

Presented here is the latest addition to the Terex fleet in the shape of the AC40/2 mobile crane in 1:50th scale from NZG. The main chassis and front cab castings appear to be the same as the previously released AC35 model with functional extending outriggers with pads that can be lowered by unscrewing the legs. The front cab has a replicated interior with rear view mirrors mounted to the frame along with a single access step on each side and roof mounted beacons.

The two axles feature functional steering and have metal wheel hubs showing the bolt head detailing which are fitted with rubber tyres that have an accurate road style tread pattern. A spare wheel is also mounted centrally on the rear of the chassis.

The top deck of the chassis has silver finished panelling with an authentic diamond plate texture and slewing ring detailing. The upper structure also appears to be a similar casting to the original model with the exception of the new 5 section telescopic boom and swing out single piece jib which is a new casting.

The markings on the side panels reference the model as a PPM AC40/2 and the rear counterweight and boom sides have dominant printed Terex markings whilst the outriggers and rear of the model have safety white and red chevron printing along with number plate details and painted work lights. This is another good release from NZG and compliments the other Terex models that they are currently developing.
