Sumitomo SH200 Tracked ExcavatorPresented here is the 1:50th scale Sumitomo SH200 tracked excavator from Replicars, also known as the SH210 outside Japan. Sumitomo develop and assemble the range of hydraulic excavators from their factory in Chiba City, Japan which allows them to ensure quality at every stage of production. Powered by an Izuzu engine, the excavator offers plenty of power and break-out force and the replica has captured every aspect of the full sized machine, from the replicated safety cameras, safety mirrors, railings and printed warning labels to the populated engine bay, complete with decorated engine block revealed by opening the upper engine cover. The undercarriage track frames have all the lower roller detailing cast into the bottom surface with side fitted access steps and a pair of upper rollers. The tracks are individually linked and show good detailing of the triple grouser shoes, complete with tiny bolt heads while the idler wheels are tensioned to keep the tracks taut. The final drives have good cast detailing of the fixing bolts and tiny printed markings have been applied for added realism. The cabin interior captures the looks of the real machine perfectly despite not having an opening door, from the light and roomy layout with modelled side panel and hand and foot controls to the highlighted seat, textured floor and display screen.
